Well, this is just a very short summary of my South America bicycle tour, I’ll be back with more detailed statistics for my bike tour as soon as I analyze the data from GPS. Let’s see:

Trip odometer as shown by GPS 2727 km The difference from the total distance is explained by the fact that there were moments when GPS lost signal and couldn’t record + the trip from Plaza de Armas to the hostel, on departure from Lima (about 20 km) + the last day in Buenos Aires, Argentina, another 20 – 25 km.

Highest altitude reached by bike 4560 m reached in between Puquio and Chalhuanca. Climbing from the sea level (Lima, Paracas) all the way, no buses, trucks or other help
Highest altitude reached by climbing 6088 m Huayna Potosi summit, near La Paz, Bolivia

Average speed overall 8.9 km/h Calculated by taking into account the time from the departure, each morning to the moment I was stopping for the night
